Director Rob Luehrs Joins LIMEY

National production company LIMEY has welcomed Director Rob Luehrs to the company’s diverse roster of talent. Luehrs joins a directorial roster at LIMEY that includes Nick Jones, KN+SAW, and Graeme Joyce.

“I am very excited to have Rob join the roster at LIMEY,” says Owner/Executive Producer Andrew Denyer. “His style of comedy I find appealing. His previous career as an agency creative and the exacting standards he brings to his work, I appreciate. Rob is also one of those Directors who puts his money where his mouth is. Rob's new idea for a branded content show, ‘The Opposite of You,’ is not only a clever idea, but his sizzle reel and presentation is incredibly well put together. We have already in the short time we have known each other been able to gain significant interest and I am excited to work with Rob on making it a reality.”

Rob Luehrs began his career on the advertising agency side of the business, enjoying a highly successful career as an award-winning Creative Director with several of New York’s most prestigious ad agencies including HAVAS. Rob transitioned to directing by debuting his spot for Nike titled “Shutter Speed” that was featured in “Shoot Magazine”’s 2007 New Directors Showcase at the DGA Theater in New York. What followed was a laugh-out-loud campaign for Crunch Gym, and a hilarious AICE-winning spot for Starburst. Luehrs also wrote and directed an outrageous Doritos spot for the “Crash the Super Bowl” contest titled “Dave,” which was also selected as a finalist in the 2010 Association of Independent Commercial Producers’ AICP Show. Luehrs’ diverse agency and directing experience covers a wide range of categories from beer to high fashion and nearly everything in between. His awards include One Show Gold, CLIOs, Effie’s CA, AICE and NY Art Directors Club. What is consistent in Luehrs’ work is his keen comedic and storytelling sense, collaborative approach, strong casting skills, and a true commitment to deliver the performance the project needs. Most recently, Luehrs has added writing and producing skills to his resume with his creation of “The Opposite of You” content series. It’s a brimming-with-conflict adventure series, with tremendous social media and philanthropic potential appealing to many of the world’s most influential brands.

“Andrew has a great reputation in the industry, and I’ve watched his work with LIMEY for some time,” says Luehrs. “I was very drawn to working with him and his team. I saw a place on their roster for my talent, with no overlap. Andrew and his sales team have been very passionate about my commercial work, and are also really encouraging about my new branded entertainment series which is very exciting.”
