Award-winning Director Peter Kagan has joined national production company Superlounge. The veteran Director, gifted for collaborating with celebrity talent, has also just completed two new commercial campaigns for Dannon via Y&R/NY. The first for Activia yogurt, starring Jamie Lee Curtis yogurt; and the second for Oikos Greek yogurt features John Stamos. Both campaigns are currently airing nationwide.
“Peter Kagan is the consummate, seasoned filmmaker who knows how to make great ads. Period,” says Comedy Director and Superlounge Co-Founder Jordan Brady. “His deft hand at making celebrities shine is a treat to witness on-set, and shows in the finished spot.”
Kagan has directed a diverse range of filmed content including hundreds of spots for a wide variety of clients, as well as music videos. He has won numerous awards for his work, including Clios, Addys, Effies, MTV Movie Awards and Lions at the Cannes Advertising Festival. His groundbreaking spot for Nike entitled “Revolution” was honored recently honored by the DGA.
“The appeal for me to join Superlounge was the opportunity to be associated with a director-centric production company,” notes Kagan. “They are imbued with a team spirit, led by drum major/director Jordan Brady, who looks great in his uniform, and has been a great colleague. That’s very unusual in my experience. [Co-Founder/EP] Dave Farrell is a hard-working, shoe-leather guy, and I like that. Superlounge is the paradigm for contemporary production companies: the fat-free model, so that the budget is seen on the screen.”
