Culver City/Vancouver-based visual effects house Zoic Studios signs seasoned producer Eric McCasline as Executive Producer of the commercial division and veteran Entertainment Media Executive Cindy Airey as Executive Producer of gaming.
“Eric and Cindy represent the best executive leadership in visual effects and animation. Both have award-winning backgrounds in production, giving them the tools to build confident and innovative partnership,” says Zoic Executive Creative Director and Co-Founder Chris Jones. “This ultimately leads to new ground breaking creative work, produced efficiently and professionally in an increasing competitive market. We are looking forward to our continued growth with their leadership.”
Portland-born Eric McCasline began his career in production on the HBO series “Entourage.” He left episodic work for commercials, spending the next several years as a production manager and line producer for such notable commercial production houses as Smuggler, Rabbit, Crossroads, Tool of North America and MJZ. In 2009, McCasline transferred to the visual effects realm as a producer at MPC in Santa Monica, working on high profile projects for Ford, Honda, Puma, Kahlua and Lexus, to name a few. While there, he produced the Dave Meyers-directed PSA ‘Mercy Street’ for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, which received Clio and AICP Awards that year. After MPC, he moved over to Pixomondo as Head of Production where he oversaw current projects as well as the day-to-day operations of the commercial division.
Airey was drawn to the entertainment industry by her brother, whose career as a sound designer led her to become involved in projects at a young age. She officially began working in post production while studying Communications and Business in 1986, working on Evil Dead 2. She has been working in a multitude of roles in post production and production for Television, Animation, Features, Home Entertainment and Games for over 25 years. In the gaming world, Airey worked as VP of Sales and Marketing, Interactive and Animation at Technicolor from 2006 to 2010. While there she worked on mainstream titles including Gears of War, Uncharted and Darksiders franchises. Most recently, she served as VP of Interactive Media at Fotokem. Airey has worked on AAA titles for top publishers including Microsoft, Sony, Activision/Blizzard, Square Enix, THQ and Konami.
