Sound Lounge Brings On New EP

New York-based audio post production studio Sound Lounge is pleased to announce the addition of Gloria Pitagorsky as their newest executive producer. Pitagorsky will complete a trifecta of talented exec producers that include Travis Call and Gregg Singer who handle the Film and Television and Radio divisions respectively. Prior to joining Sound Lounge, Pitagorsky held posts at HSR, Nutmeg, Photomag and audioEngine, where she held the EP position for six years.
Managing Partner/Mixer Philip Loeb comments, "Gloria's experience, knowledge, and history within the audio post production space make her the perfect addition to the Lounge. We're looking forward to her occupying a leadership role and helping us expand our core business of audio post further into the film, television, web, and commercial arenas."
Pitagorsky adds, "I was drawn to Sound Lounge for its dedication to quality and for setting the standard of excellence in the industry. It is an exciting time at Sound Lounge and I'm thrilled to be to be working with such a vast array of talented people, the rock stars of the industry."
The addition of Pitagorsky will add further bandwidth to the Lounge which has seen a recent growth spurt from studio-driven and independent film, TV, interactive and web projects. "With commercial budgets shrinking we've pushed into new areas to diversify our model which was extremely advertising-centric," noted Partner/Sound Designer Marshall Grupp. "We always knew we needed to touch all forms of content creation, and the changing economy pushed us in that direction. The great thing for us is that all content needs audio post production, so we're sitting in a rather enviable position."
A 13 year industry veteran, Gloria Pitagorsky started her career at HSR, then moved into talent management serving as an assistant agent at Shiffman, Eckman, Morrison & Marx. She then returned to post-production with stints at Nutmeg, Photomag and audioEngine, where she held the EP position for six years.
Pitagorsky is actively involved with Global Goods, a non for profit dedicated to alleviating poverty and promoting social justice. She is developing a documentary titled Adonde Vamos and was recently elected to the Democratic County Committee. Pitagorsky is a member of National Association of Hispanic Journalists as well as the Manhattan Young Democrats.
